John Howe, the illustrator

Born 1957 in Vancouver and growing up in British Columbia – John Howe have for years been one of the major illustrators working with the magnificent world of J.R.R. Tolkien. His work fills the design of this website, as well as parts of it also figures in certain publications. Howe studied at the Ecoles des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg and was hired in to assist in the makings of the Lord of the Rings movies. Today he lives in Switzerland, working as a freelance illustrator together with his wife Fataneh.
